To commemorate EARTH DAY 2007, students and staff members of the BVS Parsi High School made a pledge to look after their planet Earth.
The senior students were shown the independent documentary made by the past Vice-President of the USA, AL Gore which won an Oscar, called the INCONVENIENT TRUTH. Emphasis was laid on the fact that “Global Warming” is a reality and it is occuring at an alarming rate. We as individuals can do our bit to keep the Earth a living planet, by cutting down on CO2 emssions and recycling.
The students and staff members dipped the palms of their right hands in green paint and printed them on paper making a promise to themselves and Mother Earth to make the world more green. A huge mural made of recycled paper was hung in the school for all to see and reflect on the simple acts of consideration that can reverse the process of global warming.
