For the first time in BVS school sports history, a separate Sports Day was organized for the primary and secondary students.
The primary section sports was held on Saturday 28th January, 2006 at the KPI Grounds.
460 boys participated in 44 tracks events. 168 boys from grade III, IV, & V took part in a colourful P.E. Display. All the events went smoothly with boys displaying discipline and sportsmen spirit.
Mrs. Roshan Muncherji, Headmistress Karachi Grammar School gave away the prizes.
The Chief Guest stated:
“It was an honour and a pleasure to be invited to the Annual Primary Sports 2006.
The organisation was meticulous with events run with clock like precision. The children’s participation was enthusiastic and revealed the time and effort that had gone into their training. A most enjoyable morning, for which I thank you.”
A month later the Annual Secondary Sports 2006 was conducted on Saturday 25th February 2006 at the KPI grounds, with Mr. Ardeshir Cowasjee as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced with the march past. The events for the day had flat races, a wheel-barrow race, a back-to-back race, hurdle races, fastest house relay and senior inter-house relay.
The Fakirji Cowasjee House Championship trophy went to Soparivala House with 354 points.
Najamai Darabshaw Sethna Inter-house runner-up trophy went to Lancelot House with 321 points, followed by Quaid-e-Azam house with 318 points and Reza Shah House with 214 points.

The Annual Marathon took place at 5:30 AM, from under the Clifton Bridge. Uzair Kalu of 9th class came 1st, Ali Asgahar came in second and Khawaja Muhammad Saquib came in 3rd. Thes are always fun and challenging events for the 9th and 10th class boys.
Best House Captain Trophy went to Rafey Ahmed of Lancelot House, Miss. Daulat Mulla Trophy for the fastest house was picked up by Reza Shah House. Trophy for the fastest sprinter went to Kamran Waheed of Quaid-e-Azam House who clocked in the best time for the 100 meters.
Sufyan Sattar of Soparivala House and Usman Bilwani of Rezashah house were declared the Best Junior and Best Senior Athlete respectively.
The Principal in her speech thanked the students and staff for their efforts and hard work and expressed her gratitude to Mr. Cowasjee for taking out time and giving away the prizes.
