He was sent to Washington D.C. and Kansas to teach and learn how
the U.S. teaching system worked. He received his Diploma in Education
and Fulbright degree from the U.S.A. He was known for the positive
influence that he portrayed of Pakistan while he represented his
country in a foreign land.
excelled in what he did and was made the Vice Principal of the B.V.S.
in 1965. After the sudden death of Principal Behram Minwalla he
was made the Principal in 1967. Divecha Master spent his entire
life studying and doing research. The school made a lot of progress
during his tenure and his students today are on very high posts
and are spread all over the world.
published the McGrawhill Pakistan School Atlas and wrote books for
class one to five that became the textbooks for General Science,
at the Sind Board of Education level. In 1972 there was a need for
dynamic leadership at the Board of Secondary Education - Sind. He
left the B.V.S. and joined as the Chairman of the Secondary Board
and held the post for eight years.
Master was also a very religious person and will always be remembered
for his honesty. His will to learn and impart education to the "boys"
of B.V.S was immense. For those who studied under him, we are truly
blessed to have Divecha Master as a teacher. Rustom Divecha passed
away on 11th January 1986. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
